The Recovery Process

The hard part is over. Sanlow found money and now found you. It’s time to get you two together, before the government keeps it—because “It’s not theirs!”

Each recovery is different, may involve more than one person with a claim to the money, and can take 4-6 months to complete. So, the sooner we start, the sooner we finish, and the better chance we have to act before the government’s clock runs out.

1. VERIFICATION
To begin the Process, we need to speak with you. We’ll confirm you are the correct person to recover the money (lots of Joan Smiths and Gerome Johnsons out there, you know). Once we confirm you’re the one, we can proceed to the next step.

2. DOCUMENTATION
After we talk and you agree to have Sanlow handle your recovery, we will prepare our formal documents* and promptly schedule a notary public to meet you for your signature. We’ll repeat this Process with any other people or heirs with a claim to the money. NOTE: Required legal work related to an estate will be completed in this step.

3. SUBMISSION
Sanlow will assemble all required materials and be responsible for the official recovery steps with the government agency holding the money. We’ll start this Process within three business days after receiving signed documentation from everyone involved with the recovery.

4. DISTRIBUTION
The government agency (and sometimes, court) can take 30-90 days to finalize the recovery and release your money. Sanlow will closely monitor progress and respond to any questions or requests for additional information.

Within 5 business days of receiving the government’s payout, Sanlow will send your check via overnight delivery. The amount of your check is dependent upon the costs involved in the recovery, Sanlow’s participation/fee*, and how many other people benefit from the recovery.

5. SATISFACTION
Sanlow is honored to work each recovery, so we strive for complete satisfaction. This demands we clearly communicate expectations from start to finish, deliver on these expectations, and ensure you get your money. We’ll invite you to share feedback to resolve any lingering issues and to improve the experience for others who use the Sanlow Recovery Process in the future.

*Remember: Sanlow operates on a fee basis, but only gets paid after the government releases your money. If we fail to secure your money, we fail to get paid. You pay nothing—not even for a postage stamp or a photocopy—unless and until your money is released.
